I find Interior Design extremely rewarding, not only artistically, but also the ability to transform the way a person feels in their home.
The space below began as four separate spaces: a small Foyer, an L-shaped Living/Dining Area, a narrow Kitchen, and a Breakfast Nook.
Demolition included tearing out all floors, cabinets and a large, built-in entertainment center, removing a small pocket door and enlarging that passage, as well as the removal of the 15' high wall between the Living Area and Kitchen, the wall between the Kitchen and Breakfast Nook, and the rotted wall behind the existing sink and oven.
Remodel included all new cabinets, appliances, a custom-built island with cabinets on both sides, custom-built peninsula with cabinets and shelving, granite counter tops, granite sink, 3/4" Brazilian Koa hardwood floors, slate floor in foyer and fireplace hearth, slated back splash behind sink and island, slated post, foam insulation in existing cathedral ceiling, new tongue and groove ceiling, new range hood with custom-built extension, brush-stroke/gradient paint technique on all walls, all new window treatments, as well as all new lighting above island, sink, Breakfast Nook, and Foyer.
